Would have liked to have given more stars because A good selection of plants, reasonably priced, (delivery was a little slow but I appreciate there has been high demand) but one big let down was the way the plants were packed for delivery - some items were packaged on their sides despite the box being clearly marked “this way up” whereby soil had spilled from pots & others became squashed generally the impression was that very little care at all had been taken packing the plants. A great shame as the plants themselves looked to have been well cared for & of good quality up until that point

Ordered lupins, hostas, delphiniums and rhubarb. Lupins were leggy and poor condition, delphiniums were just a nest of roots, hostas 2 were missing and the rhubarb was rotten-waterlogged, slime and even a slug in the middle of one! On contacting them which took 2 weeks for a reply informed just dormant ... I'm an experienced gardener these are not dormant they are dead left overs to fulfil their orders. Waited 3 weeks for this full price rubbish very disappointed. Neighbour ordered the same-lovely delphiniums arrived so not dormant however rest of her order is still to arrive as cant be located 2 months later... Used another company named after a spring flower, ordered the same on offers and arrived lovely condition within 5 days and proper plants that have taken. Lesson learnt, wont use Parkers again. Now have a sad patch of plants that apparently are just dormant ... not holding out much hope.

Very disappointed

Poor communication, plants not brilliant quality, I had hoped that by ordering early in the year I would be able to get exactly what I wanted for the garden. Very disappointed with this service & I won’t be ordering again from them next year. I appreciate that plants are living things & so I would expect some issues, but by choice I would not have picked any of these plants myself & gone for better specimens than I was sent

Crushed Baskets & Plants - Order No.10654627

Recommended to J Parkers this year by my Sister in Law. Have placed several orders but this order of 2 X Hanging Baskets arrived crushed, unpotted and dishevelled. At fault was the courier Hermes. My experience of their products tells me that J Parkers is an excellent company but until they ditch Hermes as their courier I shall regrettably shop elsewhere. The Five Star review is for J Parkers. NO
STARS FOR HERMES!

Overall very pleased with the service

Overall very pleased with the service. Most of plants have been good but have been disappointed with Begonia Superplugs and Gambit cucumber plants.
I am keeping my fingers crossed as to F1 Geraniums - Garden ready.
Would continue to use as this year has been a difficult time due to the continued cold weather,

Most of the bulbs had to be discarded

Most of the bulbs had to be discarded. Wont buy bulbs again.
Had a reply from parkers with apologies and a refund. With this in mind I would use them again without reservation.

Plants were very late

Plants were very late - took more than 28 days and required chasing. The pittosporum had quite a few brown leaves & id bought better quality from my local supermarket I’m sorry to say! Probably great for bulbs but I won’t be back in a hurry!

Missing plants, free slug and dead not dormant plants

I think they are too busy for their own good at the moment. And perhaps service and plants are suffering as a result.

If the plants arrive healthy then Parkers are great. You get small plugs and have to accept some loss but I've had a high percentage survive by planting up into pots in the greenhouse and giving them time before I plant out to the garden.
This time though I got a delivery where one set of plants which had been inside a card box for too long. Parkers had also crushed the plastic trays into an undersized box which had crushed plants within.
I felt my initial email to Parkers was dealt with rather dismissively but having sent Parkers photographs of the packaging and plants; this has been resolved.
Thanks Trish for your assistance.
